Form when mountains obstruct the passage of rainfall, causing dryness on the leeward side. Inspired by the summits that form a nationally renowned rain shadow on the edge of the Olympic Mountain Range, Richlite’s RainShadow is available in four colors:
In 1899, copper and iron mineral deposits were discovered on a multi-summited rock crest, later named Iron Mountain (Elev. 6,826'). Several rescues, including a peculiar goat mission, took place on its rugged terrain.
Available in 5/16” thick. A rich, velvety black.
Encompassing numerous basalt projections, Boulder Ridge is anchored by a 6,852 foot peak... aptly named Peak 6852.
Along with the neighboring Ridge of the Gargoyles, it divides the Big Quilcene River from Tunnel Creek's North fork.
Available in 5/16" thick; Deep chocolate brown.
NOW 100% RECYCLED
Resembling antlers, two nearly identical summits (Elev. 6,956' and 6,988') inspired Buckhorn Mountain's namesake. Looming above a deeply wooded valley known as Buckhorn Wilderness, these peaks afford spectacular views of the Puget Sound.
Available in 5/16” thick. A cool, leathery brown.
Also known as Mount Worthington, Copper Peak (Elev. 6,938') rises up like a stone giant over a secluded Buckhorn lake.
On the mountain's lower slopes, B-17 bomber wreckage from 1952 can still be found at Tull Canyon.
Available in 5/16” thick. A warm medium brown tone, made of 50% Post-Consumer waste recycled cardboard.
Color matched stainless steel fasteners can be sourced from us.
